AI Visibility Index is run by Charles Heath in Colorado, trading as Aspyn LLC. It is a small operation, not a large one, and the work is measurement rather than opinion.
We ask ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini the questions people type when they are looking for a local business, with live web search on, and we write down every answer. 4,625 of them across 216 markets so far. Then we publish who was named and how often. That is the whole method, and it is on the methodology page in enough detail that you can repeat it yourself in about thirty seconds.
Every score on this site is a share of recorded answers, and every page prints the questions that produced it. Ask an assistant the same question and compare. If your number looks wrong, tell us and we will re-run the market. Nothing here is a proprietary index with a formula we will not show you.
We publish rankings and we also sell a report and paid work to businesses that appear in them. That is a real conflict and pretending otherwise would be worse than naming it. So, the line we hold: you cannot buy a place in a ranking or a higher number, and we never edit a score for anyone. What a customer buys is help earning a better one, by getting into the pages assistants actually read. Clients are measured with the same questions on the same day as everyone else, and no number is ever adjusted by hand.
We will not write, buy or solicit reviews, for ourselves or for anyone who pays us. It is illegal under the FTC's rules and it is the fastest way to destroy the thing we are selling. We will not promise a ranking, because nobody controls what an assistant says. And we will not call you.
Charles runs another business in Colorado that was invisible when people asked an assistant for a recommendation.
